Fitz Bridge Repair work closes Fitz to Montford Road

Kier Highways have written to the Parish Council to inform us of upcoming Bridge Parapet Repair work that will be taking place in Fitz.
Where is the work?
The works will require a full road closure on Fitz Junction To B5067 Junction Leaton, Shrewsbury. A map is provided for reference.
During these works, traffic lights will be placed at Yeaton Bridge to protect the structure whilst being used as a diversion route.
When is this happening?
The works are scheduled from 7am Tuesday 18 th August to 5pm Friday 4th September under a 24hr Closure – No access at all times.
Please be aware that these dates may change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Any updates will be shown on local advance warning signs and on https://one.network/
How will this affect traffic?
A signed diversion route will be in place for the duration of the closure.
Will there be access to my property/business?
Access to properties and businesses should be obtained from either side of the bridge by following the signed diversion route. There will be no access over the bridge for the duration of these works. Kiers on‑site team will assist where possible. Our priority is to keep you and our staff safe.
