FASTER Broadband Now Available in Walford Heath and Merrington

Faster fibre broadband is now available to order in Walford Heath via cabinet 8 in the Bomere Heath exchange and in and around Merrington due to fibre via cabinet 4 in Bomere Heath.

To make the switch to fibre broadband, people will need to contact their chosen internet service provider to upgrade their broadband package, the broadband speeds won't increase automatically.

The fibre network that we've commissioned is open to all internet service providers, so we recommend that people shop around to get the best deal for them by using a comparison website, such as: https://www.uswitch.com/broadband/compare/fibre_optic/

Just to let you know that Connecting Shropshire may put up some signage at the entrance to the village to let people in the area know that fibre optic broadband is available. This will help us to maximise the take-up of faster broadband, which is a key aim of Shropshire Council. These signs will be taken down in a couple of months' time.
